Environmental Policy at The Snug at Logie Farm Limited
The Snug is situated on an active working farm. We grow cereal crops, vegetables and grass, as well as breed sheep and cattle. We are passionate about farming in balance with nature and protecting/ sustaining and regenerating the farming land at Logie Farm. We constantly strive to protect the environment around us. Logie Farm are heavily involved in government agricultural environmental schemes which involves creating diverse habitats and shelter for nesting birds, insects and wildlife. We also are accredited by Quality Meat Scotland which certifies that our sheep and cattle live in high welfare conditions. It is important to us that the Livestock at Logie Farm have as natural (outside at grass) and stress-free an environment as possible, as well as minimal intervention from us.
We are committed to improving our environmental performance. At The Snug we chose Armadilla Pods due to their award winning eco credentials. The environmental principals of Armadilla have been at the forefront of new developments in environmental and energy efficiency matters and have an impressive track record of awards and accolades over the last 40 years.
We are also focused on energy use and recycling of waste materials/ cutting down on the use of plastics.
We take steps where possible to minimise these impacts wherever possible and have tried to adopt high environmental standards in all areas of operation, by meeting relevant legislative requirements.
